Our History

Industry Background

Gone are the days of healthcare being synonymous with traditional clinical environments and rigid insurance systems. Now, more than ever, we are seeing the expansion of healthcare innovations like new policies, technologies, and systems dedicated to improving healthcare delivery and equity. Entrepreneurship in healthcare today incorporates this new definition of innovation, and ViTAL is at the forefront of these new opportunities. ViTAL empowers students to cultivate their vision within healthcare innovation and entrepreneurship, and gain the expertise they need to join this exciting industry.

Club Programming

ViTAL is honored to host a variety of events to offer insight and inspire students from many backgrounds about broad healthcare themes. Join us on Thursdays from 6-7PM EST for an opportunity to meet and network with students and leaders in the industry, learn more about potential co-ops and internships, and take part in interactive workshops to learn more about the non-traditional paths available in healthcare.

Case Competition

Husky Health Innovation Challenge (HHIC) is an interdisciplinary life-science focused case competition. Teams of 3-4 students are given the opportunity to analyze a case centered around a prominent topic in healthcare and present their findings to a panel of judges from academia and industry, and have the chance to win cash prizes!

Consulting

Hosted by the Bouvé College of Health Sciences and Health Sciences Entrepreneurs at Northeastern University, ViTAL Venture Consulting (VVC) is a student-led pro-bono consulting initiative, consisting of undergraduate students with a strong passion for healthcare and interest in applying their skills to tackle real-world problems. VVC allows students to work with startups and growth-stage companies in the health sciences vertical.
